Dispatch

A board that tells
the truth.

The whiteboard lies by lunchtime. The group text lies immediately. What a dispatcher needs at 11am on the worst day of the year is one screen that says where everybody is and what is actually still open. That is what this is.

No contracts. Ever. Month to month, cancel yourself in the app. No card to start, no demo call, no salesperson.

The board

Map, drag, done.

Dispatch is a spatial problem pretending to be a list problem. A map makes the right answer obvious in a way a queue never does.

See who is closest

Jobs and technicians on a map, so assigning the flooded kitchen to the van eight minutes away is a glance rather than three phone calls.

Drag to schedule

Move a job to a technician or a time and it moves. No modal, no save button, no wondering whether it took.

One active job per technician

A tech cannot quietly hold three tickets open, so the board’s idea of who is free matches the parking lot’s idea. This is the single change that makes a dispatch board trustworthy.

Tech Schedule as the capacity view

Who is loaded and who is not, before you promise a homeowner a window you cannot hit.

What arrives with the job

The tech should not have to ask.

Customer history on the record

Previous jobs, what was replaced, what it cost, the photos from last time. Not in somebody’s memory of last spring.

Caller context at the moment it rings

Balance owed, job count, address and a do-not-service flag pushed to every phone in the company as the call comes in — things a caller-ID label physically cannot carry.

The estimate and the photos

If the job came from a quote six weeks ago, the measurements and the conditions are still attached to it.

Dispatch texts to the customer

On-the-way messages go out from the same board, so the homeowner stops calling the office to ask.

Straight answers

Can I see technicians on a map? And the rest.

Can I see technicians on a map?

Yes — jobs and technicians both. Dispatch is a spatial problem, and a map answers "who is closest to this" instantly where a list never does. You drag a job onto a technician or a time slot to schedule it.

What does "one active job per technician" mean?

A technician can only have one job in progress at a time. It sounds like a restriction and it is actually the thing that makes the board worth looking at: without it, techs accumulate open tickets and the board’s idea of who is available stops matching reality. With it, "free" on the screen means free in the parking lot.

How many dispatchers or office staff can I add?

As many as you want. Both plans include unlimited users — technicians, dispatchers, CSRs, bookkeepers, apprentices. The price does not count people, so putting one more person on the board costs nothing.

Do customers get told the technician is coming?

Yes, by text from the same board, which is mostly a way of stopping them phoning the office to ask. The call that does come in is answered with their history already on screen.
